I was tired of my basic SMS tone on my iPhone so I decided to make one. I recored my Canon 60d focusing on something and then taking 2 photos. For all you canon people or anyone that just wants a camera shutter as a ringtone this is for you!

Six Painters

I got a cool new book yesterday from LSC. I paid 50 cents for a book full of paintings about these great artist when they came to Houston in the 60’s. The cover is canvas and is amazing. One of the greatest purchases i’ve made in a while because this is a part of Houston art history and it is now in my possession.

This is what I carry everyday to school or if I have a meeting with a client. I like my bag and the contents inside of it. I hope to upgrade a few upgrade a few items soon but I think i’ll just wait until I HAVE to.

In Bag:

1. Northface Recon Bag– I really enjoy carrying this bag, I can fit everything in this and still have space. It has compression straps on the sides mesh front to stick in a jacket or whatever else I want into it. You can beat this for the price, it is very versatile.
2. Nalgene Bottle-I’ve used nalgene bottles for years, I am thinking about switching to Klean kanteen though. Maybe.
3. Sennheiser Head phones (customized with tape) – They broke while in my bag. I need a sturdier pair but I’ll wait until the other ear breaks off.

6. First aid kit – small kit, I have band-aids, alcohol swabs, needle and gauze. I need to make a proper first aid kit but for now this should do.
7. Nintendo Ds Lite – I hardly play it now, I might get rid of it soon.

Where have you been!?

So I haven’t been updating cause I have been really busy with projects both for School and O.L.Studios. I also didn’t have a camera to photograph anything with because my 50d went down. So I got a brand spankin new 60d!

It’s pretty cool, I do admit that I miss my 50d but I do enjoy using the video function. I just have to get use to the 60d’s buttons. With the old canon, it was like it was an extension of my hand, I didn’t even have to look at what I was doing I knew that camera so well.

I have been doing well in school, I am killing my Art History Survey II class. I’ve also been doing good with drawing draperies in my drawing class.

 

Family dinners have still been going on but things haven’t been as exciting as they use to be. I guess we have done some many exciting recipes that we have sort of stuck to the same things. We have been eating alot of asian food though, vermicelli, spring rolls and egg rolls are usually what we have for dinner. I do promise that we will start posting new photos soon of food that we are creating. Thanks for hanging in there.

 

 

Camping 3/18

So Friday Night we had a camping trip in our back yard. It was alot of fun, we made smores, roasted our own hot dogs and slept in tents outside. about 10 of my little cousins slept over and it was really fun. I didn’t get to take alot of photos because I was running around making sure nobody was gonna get hurt but I did take a few

Sun Rise in the morning, I did enjoy the camping but I guess I need to go out by myself and do it. Camping with 10 little screaming kids is not what I consider relaxing but being under the stars for a while did relax me and I would like to go out and do it very soon.

Twin’s 6th Birthday

March 9th was the twins birthday. The day before we took them to Itz, they had a really great time. Nobody we went with had ever been to Itz, but it was pretty fun, we stayed for about 2 hours before we got kicked out at 9 lol. But they enjoyed themselves. They played alot of games but they really got stuck on a motorcycle game. They played at least 10 games on them each.

They played a few more and the even made me get on the little train ride with them

On the 9th they came over to my house to open gifts and blow out the candles on their cupcakes.

Spray Paint Project

My drawing class was super stressful today. Even though drawing is being creative I didn’t get my fix for the day. So I decided to work on some projects to clear my head

They were alot of fun to do, I got a new one that I am working on based off of the grenade one, I can’t wait to do it.
